Why Aiea?

A number of the original members of this new church plant grew up in Aiea. As the gospel propelled us into mission it became clear that this is our immediate mission field. God has birthed a love for this community and we aim to be play a role in the work to spread the gospel here.

Why plant a church?

The simplest answer to this question is that we are sinners who love Jesus and want others to do the same. Jesus changed our lives and from that moment on we have never been the same on mission to see Him become famous.

Who is on the team?

Jesus is the senior pastor of Victory Aiea. (Ephesians 1:9, 22-23, Ephesians 4:15, Ephesians 5:23, Hebrews 3:1, Matthew 16:18, Revelation 2:5, Colossians 3:16)

Our team of elders function in submission to Jesus as our chief shepherd. Additionally Victory Aiea is led by a first among equals philosophy with one elder functioning in this role.

Dane Tokushige
Dane graduated from Mid Pacific Institute and also earned a bachelors degree from The University of Hawaii. Dane is the husband of Liz and and the father of Ben (6) and Alexa (4). Dane has served on various church staffs for the past 12 years before joining the Victory Aiea team.

As a new church we are in the process of developing an elder team. Currently men are involved in a process to install a team at the right time that will oversee this church.

When did the church start?

The church officially launched on Easter of 2013. To help build momentum for the launch of this church we walked through a series of preview services and community outreach events.
